PCG starts 'income shifting' petition
by The Editor at 11:07 03/01/08 (Section 660)
Trade association, the Professional Contractors Group (PCG), is urging freelancers to sign a petition against the proposed new tax on 'income shifting' on the Number 10 website.
PCG Chairman David Ramsden, who started the petition, said: “All freelancers and small business owners should sign this petition: the proposals are not fair, not workable, and not justified by any of the arguments made in the Treasury’s consultation paper.”

The petition is available at: petitions.pm.gov.uk/IncomeShifting1/.
