Q1: What is the Conservative's position on IR35?
by Susie Hughes at 15:57 20/11/08 (Question Time)
Welcome to Shout99's first live Question Time with guest, Mark Prisk MP, Shadow Minister for Enterprise, Deregulation and Competition.
Thanks to Mark for taking part - and thanks to the Shout99 readers who supplied a considerable number of questions.

I'll start a new thread with each question and invite Mark to comment, then it is open for discussion before moving on to a new thread. You need to be logged on as a registered user to read and post comments.

As well as looking at the threads, you can follow the discussion using the Most Recent button in the top left hand corner which lists the most recent responses.

We'll try to cover as much ground as possible.

Perhaps I can start by summarising the most frequently asked subject: IR35.

IR35 is still one of the major concerns for freelancers. In the past, the Conservative position has been to repeal it, but this has now shifted to 'review'. Can you clarify the situation?
