Radio 4 request to talk to contractors
by Susie Hughes at 11:47 12/05/09 (Shout99)
Radio 4 programme File on 4 is asking to talk to contractors who have had experience of intra-company transfers.
The programme is examining the Government's visa policies at a time when Ministers say they are putting British workers first.

They wish to record testimony from IT consultants who have experienced the phenomena of intra-company transfers - where they have seen people coming into the workplace from overseas or where they have found themselves out of work because of job displacement.

They recognise that this can be a sensitive subject and that people may be wary about speaking out (and can take steps to protect people's identities, if need be) but feel it is important to try and highlight what many people regard as a failure of public policy.

The producer, David Lewis, can be contacted on 0161 244 3932 or 07710 013287 or email: david.lewis@bbc.co.uk

In addition to this request to talk directly to contractors, I will pass on any comments posted here of relevance.
