My friend is going through a rather bitter divorce and his wife seems to be trying to cause as much trouble for him as she can. She wrote to HMRC accusing him of submitting false accounts.
HMRC have written to him asking for copies of all bank statements and receipts to support his last business accounts. Should he send these or insist on a meeting to go through the paperwork?
