Onboarding questions
by idiotguzzle at 12:51 19/05/17 (Ask-Legal-Accounting)
I am in the process of being onboarded for a contract with a certain bank. They started by asking for all the usual work history etcetera, however have now started prying into my personal bank accounts, quote ' to ensure no transactions were being made into the account from employment (perm and contract)...'
I have sent them a couple of personal statements but if they ask next 'can we see other statements from other personal accounts' I feel like saying hang on this is too much information, as I have already provided co bank statements. The agent who is conducting all these enquiries on behalf of the bank seems to be siding with them e.g. by insisting on information - that a client has never ever asked me for before - in over 30 years in the business e.g. months of study for school 'O' Levels. I feel like saying stop prying this is too much - but risk losing the contract if I offend them. What can I quote back to them if indeed they do ask for more private data?
