The answer is simple. Everyone should use a free online bookmark service to store their favourite links.
The Problem
When people use an online service they quite rightly want it to be as quick as if they were accessing the information on their local PC. This means that they do not want to wait three seconds for each page of links within a folder to be served back up to their web browser. They want a convenient, easy and familiar interface that responds instantly to their clicks. In short they want a service that can totally replace the need to store favourites in their browser. This is not easy to find.
The Solution
LinkDragon.com is a free online bookmark service with a difference. It is the first web-based application to successfully replicate the familiar 'Explorer' style interface. There is no need to wait for web page after web page to be served up to the browser. Access to your links is instantaneous and you can organise them into folders by using 'Drag and Drop' features like those available with Windows Explorer. All this is achieved without the user having to install any software. All of this functionality is available directly through the LinkDragon Explorer web application.

Background
The LinkDragon website and application were developed by Simon Tew and David Gardiner. Simon and Dave are independent computer contractors who live and work in the Manchester area. Their aim was to produce a 'best in class' application that would be useful for all Internet users.
The challenge they set was to produce the best possible interface with the most functionality while also making the application very fast and easy to use. They hope that LinkDragon has taken a step forward in demonstrating the capabilities of web-based applications and that the service will prove to be useful for many Internet users. LinkDragon already has thousands of registered users and hopefully it will be of use to Shout99's readers.

In today's mobile world, access to information is key and nowhere is this truer than on the Internet. Finding information on the web can be difficult even at the best of times. Contractors in particular often need to access technical information from web pages they have previously bookmarked in their web browser. The problem is that these bookmarks are not available when they are mobile, e.g. when they go to work, when they change location, when they change desks even!
