- TLC35 is a fully underwritten insurance policy and not simply a
guarantee.
- In the event of a claim TLC35 will pay for:
- Fees for any Inland Revenue enquiry (including PAYE
compliance review) or Customs & Excise dispute.
- Tax/NIC paid to the Inland Revenue in respect of being
deemed caught by the Inland Revenue under IR35.
- Interest
- Penalties
- Contracts must be deemed eligible by Qdos in order to qualify for
TLC35.
- Up to three contracts and their associated working practices will be
assessed for eligibility for TLC35 at a cost of £25 plus VAT (by way of
Freelance Club
Membership).
- Further contracts will be risk assessed for a cost of £25 plus VAT
each.
- Full contract reviews are available separately for £75 plus VAT (click here) - but
this is not a requirement for TLC35.
- TLC35 lasts for one year from purchase. It can be renewed annually
thereafter.
- TLC35 covers any enquiry or dispute that commences in the year.
- Any contract that has been risk assessed will be covered, even if the
contract period was prior to the period of cover.
- Any enquiry or dispute that commences after cover has expired (i.e. you did
not renew) will not be covered.
- New contracts engaged during the period can be assessed for eligibility and
included.
- Other benefits given to TLC35 holders are:
- Fees for any Inland Revenue enquiry (including PAYE compliance review) or
Customs & Excise dispute covers all contracts, not just those deemed
eligible by Qdos for TLC35.

- Where contractors are not deemed eligible for TLC35 they can purchase
Freelancer Tax
Protection for £99 including Insurance Premium Tax (IPT).
This includes all of the above with the exception of Tax, Interest and
Penalties.
