Brookson brings employment law in-house
by Susie Hughes at 10:56 07/12/09 (News from Partners)
Brookson, providers of accountancy, tax advice and other support services to contractors, has further strengthened its compliance offering to customers by employing an independent legal team in-house for the first time.
The eight strong team consists of senior solicitors, paralegals and trainee solicitors all of whom specialise in legal issues which affect contractors on a day to day basis.

The move comes as part of Brookson’s continued recognition of the importance of compliance within the marketplace and its ongoing commitment to evolve and advance its existing service offering.

Martin Hesketh, managing director of Brookson, said: “We’re renowned for our in-depth understanding of the self-employed professionals’ market place and are delighted that we have been able to create such an experienced legal team in-house. This provides another layer to our specialist offering, which again separates us from the high street. Our customers can rest easy in the knowledge that they have a team of experts behind them who not only specialise, but genuinely understand, the complex nature of the self-employed market."

Brookson is also pleased to announce its working partnership with Pinsent Masons LLP, Employment law specialists. Pinsent Masons will provide support to ensure Brookson’s legal offering remains independently audited as well as keeping the team abreast of wider legal issues within the industry.
