Immigration and the Queen's Speech
by brianc at 10:29 08/05/13 (The Clubhouse)
Today The Queen's Speech is expected to highlight Immigration. Obviously this is a reaction by the Government to UKIP's arrival on the scene.
I participated in the County Council Elections in two wards here. Both County Councillors up for election were re-elected with increased majorities.

There is a shift to the right going on although I'm not changing my views at all. I'm aligned with Foreign Secretary William Hague.

We are a broad church so there is still room for others to occupy some of the more right wing slots.

Others were voting UKIP for no obvious reason and when asked they said they would return to the party at the General.

UKIP have a lot of explaining to do IMV as their policies and membership come under increasing scrutiny as they will.

They still control no councils and still have no UK MPs. In my view they will fizzle out soon enough as others have done before them. Remember the BNP?

Just thought you'd like to know where I stand.
