Engineering contractors earning more than double employees
by Susie Hughes at 09:08 21/09/16 (News on Business)
Engineering contractors on average earn more than double their full-time counterparts, according to recent research by contractor accountancy specialists, Brookson.
Their analysis of rates for engineering contractors across the UK found that average annual gross pay was £87,792 compared to £39,715 for full-time engineering employees.

Brookson points out, however, that engineers who operate through their own companies tend to be on average more experienced and/or have higher value skills.
