Newsletter 469: Government's tax body call critical of 'off-payroll' plans
by Newsletter Editor at 10:15 20/09/16 ( Shout99 Newsletter)
The Government proposals to clamp down on so-called off-payroll working in the public sector have received a set-back after criticism from within its own ranks, the Office of Tax Simplification (OTS).
In its response to the Government's consultation on the controversial proposals for freelancer or 'off-payroll workers', the OTS said that it has concerns that it will not deliver simplification and has called for a review of the tax regime for flexible workers.
