Petition against the Govt proposals on ID cards
by Simon Banton at 08:53 04/11/04 (Viewpoint)
There is an electronic petition online at www.no2id-petition.net calling for the Government to withdraw its plans for introducing ID cards.
By its own rules the Government is required to respond to such a petition, so this is a chance to force it into a more public debate (something it has seemingly been trying to avoid).

The petition closes on 19th November, in time to present it before the Queen's Speech.

Please consider adding your name to it and ask your friends, family and colleagues to do the same.
