Politics and Engineering Don't Mix.
jojo [Letters from Freelancers] 08:39 13/06/13 | Comments: 13

Politics: convince people you are acting in other's interest, to accrue power
Engineering: deliver actual benefits to others, to accrue wealth, which is really greater personal freedom.

RTI needed for no current paye scheme?
jacksjpt [Letters from Freelancers] 19:01 11/04/13 | Comments: 78
Following up my last question (RTI needed if there is no salary), I've been researching and find differing opinions from accountants. Some (e.g. Abbeytax) are saying that you have to submit RTI even if the sole director is below the LEL; others (e.g. reporting info from HMRC’s Agent Account Managers) say there's no need if no PAYE scheme operates.

skytraveller [Letters from Freelancers] 09:09 26/03/13 | Comments: 86
Freelancers Union seems to be concerned with some of the things that prompted New "Labour" to introduce IR35, for example employers insisting insisting on hiring workers as self employed to save on employer costs.

BobH-UK [Letters from Freelancers] 13:39 05/02/13 | Comments: 8
According to newsletter 408, more over 55's than ever before are starting their own businesses. This may bring an unexpected silver lining to those under the cloud of IR35 taxation!
PAYE - TAX Year 2012-13 - Something to consider NOW in Jan 13, Before FEB 13 ...
The_Highwayman [Letters from Freelancers] 14:08 17/01/13 | Comments: 9
Am I missing something, or has RTI got some ‘gotchas’ for end of year 2012-13 reporting ? Will the PAYE Online service to submit End-of-Year 2012-13 returns facility completely disappear?
