Q5. Flat rate tax
by Susie Hughes at 16:48 20/11/08 (Question Time)
EricCantona submitted this question:

I am unable to take part at the time, but would care to promote the idea of a flat rate tax system for freelance business people. In a similar approach to the flat rate VAT system, freelance staff ought to be able to submit an operating expenditure cost schedule, which would identify a banding for flat rate of tax.

This could take away self assessment, vat, and corporation tax, and be designed such that an accountant would not be essential to the process.
